Let's achieve a net zero emission country Net Zero in the South: U75's Regional Initiative: Net Zero Emission India In the interactive session, Prakash Javadekar explained that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to make India a net zero emission country by 2070. A great way to achieve this is to include carbon neutral colleges and universities. Former Under Secretary General of the United Nations, former Environment Minister of Norway, Dr. Erik Soleim, gave a video speech on Global Youth for Net Zero. The workshop discussed open access data for net-zero campuses, accreditation standards, technologies for net-zero campuses, digital tools for measuring AAA emissions, energy efficiency, renewable energy, green building case studies. Former Union Minister Prakash Javade Kar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to make it a country. SRM Institute of Science and Technology -Katangalathur, in collaboration with Green Terne Foundation, conducted the Net Zero University Campus Regional Workshop on behalf of U75. As part of this, a road map has been created for actions related to carbon neutrality. The program aims to equip higher education institutions with the knowledge and tools needed to create carbon-neutral campuses. Former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar participated in this. SRM Vice Chancellor Muthamilas Lwan delivered the welcome address.
