Clean and Smart Campus Award

Are campuses resolving to make their campus Clean and Smart? Marching towards ‘Clean and Smart Campus’ is the way to mainstream United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the education system. It is the mechanism to mould the future policy makers to build the sustainable and shared future for the well-being and prosperous society. Nothing could be more important than imparting such knowledge and hands-on experience using the modern technologies. 

AICTE has launched the award ‘Clean and Smart Campus’. TERRE Policy Centre under its Smart Campus Cloud Network (SCCN) initiative has closely associated with AICTE to enhance campus participation and contribution to Swatch Bharat Mission and UN SDGs.

 

The Application Portal is open till 16th July 2019

Who can Apply ?

1. AICTE approved Polytechnics
2. AICTE approved Colleges (including stand-alone PGDM institutes) and 
3. Universities/Deemed to be Universities running technical courses and approved by AICTE

What is the Objective ?

The award is to bring awareness of the student, faculty and institution towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These SDGs are not an end but are great engines of future growth with lateral avenues of economic development in the country. New age digital technology if applied and practiced in the right direction can act as fuel to the employment generation through inclusivity rather than seeking distinctiveness in isolation. Hence, the award aims to foresee the need to make aware (and ready!) the human resource to embrace the smart city ecosystem being created and be an effective contributor. 

Instructions on How to Apply ?

1. Follow the link:

1. Read the ‘Concept Note’ carefully
2. New user (college/institute) should register with their College Application ID/Permanent ID/Valid Email-ID
3. An OTP with login credentials will be sent to registered Email-ID
4. Please enter the OTP correctly and submit
5. ‘Your registration is successful’ message will be displayed
6. Now to start the application, please Login with the credentials sent to you on registered Email-ID
7. Your basic college details  will be automatically fetched
8. You may now start filling the questionnaire
