Strong Partnership for Smart Campuses

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with TERRE Policy Centre, not-for-profit organization working on environmental and sustainable challenges.

The partnership is to work closely on the synergies of 'Clean and Smart Campus Award' initiative of AICTE and 'Smart Campus Cloud Network' initiative of TERRE to draw the attention of educational campuses to not only become clean but also, initiate extensive and effective use of trending digital technologies. This will enhance the transformation towards 'smartness' by using latest digital technologies like IoT, Big Data, Cloud Networking and Artificial Intelligence to achieve sustainability in the campus and contribute in UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The partnership is led by Mr. Rajendra Shende, Chairman TERRE Policy Centre and Prof. Anil D Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman AICTE.
